The first crossover between Sony’s Men in Black and Ghostbusters won’t happen on the big screen — or even in comic books. Instead, it will come in the form of a board game, IDW Games announced Tuesday.
The game, Men in Black/Ghostbusters: Ecto-Terrestial Invasion, will be released in late 2019 by IDW and Sony Pictures Consumer Products. It will launch a multiyear agreement for a series of tabletop games for both franchises, according to IDW. The company’s publishing arm has held the license for Ghostbusters for a number of years; Men in Black, which launched as a comic book property from Aircel Comics, has not been seen in comics since 1997’s Men in Black: Retribution from Marvel.
